On the eve of his half-decade plus one year as manager, Mikel Arteta has admitted that his future at Arsenal is directly connected to winning major honors.

Arteta took over on December 20th, 2019 and managed to steer the team to an FA Cup triumph within months. However, that first major trophy stands as his sole top-tier trophy following the departure of Unai Emery.

The manager referenced the squad's displays as proof they are close. “Consider the performances, all the historical marks we surpassed... We still have yet to do that [win trophies]. But that indicates the standard we operate at.”
