This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the fandom. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to trainers forming strong views on the full roster of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. The Twins – Super Medicham

Look at this total queen. You cannot convince me this creature is not the life of every party, providing an endless stream of chatter to those who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems very like a socially-savvy Gemini.

The Crab – Mega Manectric

Cancer is commonly considered as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also said to be broadcasting radio waves from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The sign known for being endearingly critical is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Super Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores karma and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.

The Archer – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a performance. As a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the identical vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re right.
