This Year's Top Spooky Movie Comes Back to IMAX Just in Time for October Festivities

Ideal for October scares kicks off, one of the most acclaimed scary movies of the past few years is set for a limited comeback to movie houses, now solely in IMAX screens.

Premium Format Limited Engagement Details

The film named The Sinners, that's directed by filmmaker Ryan Coogler, is scheduled to return in select IMAX cinemas commencing October 30, with a one-week screening ending on the 5th of November.

If you saw the film during its first release, it's clear how great incredible possibility this is for another watch on the big screen.

However, in case your initial watch wasn’t in IMAX, you have the opportunity to fix that, because Sinners looks absolutely stunning on a massive IMAX theater.

Considering that its original cinema release was abbreviated in terms of IMAX screenings, because of a different release occupying those screens soon after launch, this could even be the very first opportunity to see it in IMAX.

Missed Sinners? This Is the Opportunity!

Then again, maybe you've yet to seen Sinners at all. If so, it’s time to change this oversight.

You won't find a more suitable period for enjoying a spooky movie, especially a film that transforms the genre.

Fortunately, Coogler brings some experience with that, having done a similar feat for sports dramas as well as Marvel adaptations.

The final product becomes an exciting while also deeply chilling narrative featuring blood, emotional family struggles, lost love, vampires, along with Jordan playing dual starring roles as two brothers named Stack and Smoke.

Coogler's Thoughts Regarding Michael B. Jordan

The team invited Michael B. Jordan to accomplish this complex role in terms of skill, portraying a pair of separate roles, yet it involved a portrayal which was crucial to have the backstory that we had before to pull this off.
Watching him praised from fellow actors and other folks in the industry, I'm sure that would mean so much for him.

What’s Next for Ryan Coogler

Looking ahead, it seems that this film absolutely provided Coogler the motivation to continue working in the spooky space.

He’s already announced an X-Files reboot currently being developed.

Discussing additional factors drives his decision to reboot the classic series, he noted:

Similar to my connection to the Rocky series with my dad, the show holds a special place to my mom.
My mother is everything in my life — she is present this evening — so this is a major project personally.
I want to do right by her and the fans. My mother has looked at some of the material I created for the project. My mom is enthusiastic.

Last Opportunity to Catch This Horror Gem

We don't know when Coogler’s take on the sci-fi show will get the light of day.

Still, everyone get one more chance to watch his absolutely incredible horror movie when it returns to IMAX this Oct. 30.
